Sometimes I take this town for granted, so every now and then I like to stop and smell the roses in Charleston. Here are a few jewels around the holy city!
Studio shot! I am busting at the seams while gearing up for this show!
I LOVE LETTERING- and truthfully always have, but I’ve never taken it seriously + abandoned it since my creative juices have been poured into painting. Recently, I have taken a further interest in it, along with current design and illustration trends. Here’s what’s flying around the magical land of Pinterest.
It has been a busy February in the studio! I am preparing up to 25 paintings for a Furbish Pop-Up Sale coming in early March, all the while, building my own body of work for the solo “beach-themed” show on April 10th! Whew!!!!
Did this commission for one of my cool surfer pals. I guess this will be the closest I ever get to experiencing a wave this big!
Sneak peak into the studio! Just the tip of the iceberg in this series. Can’t stop, won’t stop!!!
This Miami trip couldn’t have come at a better time- right in the midst of the polar vortex. The idea was to head down to South Beach and take some pictures of folks basking in the sun. I eventually use these images to work from in order to make new beach paintings. What a fun business adventure! Some good girlfriends and I made a trip out of it and explored the beaches, design district, art district, did some delicious dining, and drooled over some great architecture. It totally exceeded my expectations of what I envisioned Miami to be. ‘Twas fun, but now back to the grind! Here are some tid-bits from the trip.
The only photos I got while trapped in my house during the winter polar vortex…

Here is a fun abstract commission I worked on this month. It is nice to really let loose every now and then..
